FM Logistic Ibérica, an international logistics operator, has received this morning in Zaragoza its first 10 labeled refrigerated semi-trailers. These will serve the international transport of products that need to be at a controlled temperature. In the coming months, more units will be received until they reach fifty.

These refrigerated semi-trailers will be destined to FM Logistic’s customers in the food sector. Mainly for the international transport of temperature-controlled foodstuffs such as pastries and chocolates; refrigerated foodstuffs such as fruit and vegetables and frozen foodstuffs.

These vehicles will be dedicated for international services to our customers in the areas of Northern France, Benelux, Germany and Northern Italy. All loads entering Spain in these refrigerated semi-trailers will be destined for Barcelona and, mainly, Madrid. “They will also be dedicated to our customers in the fruit and vegetable sector between ports, mainly South Portugal and Ferrol to Levante,” says Juan Rincón, head of International and Domestic Transport at FM Logistic Ibérica.

The semi-trailers are single-temperature, double-deckers with the possibility of loading 66 europallets. “They will have telemetry installation to be located at all times with visual control of temperature and door opening,” explains Juan Rincón.

With the acquisition of these semi-trailers, the transport department of FM Logistic Ibérica continues to grow. Volumes in the International Transport department have doubled in the last year. The Domestic department (Spain and Portugal) has also grown by 20% compared to the previous year. Consequently, we are also increasing employment at FM Logistic and in its International Transport department in particular: “in one year we have doubled the workforce and we plan to continue to do so”.
