FM Logistic, a leader in logistics solutions, has started tests at its facilities in Illescas with an electric truck of JAC brand, focused on B2B distribution of pallets to various points in Madrid. This initiative is part of the Company’s ongoing efforts to move towards more sustainable and environmentally friendly logistics.

The electric truck being tested has a range of 181 km when carrying refrigerated cargo and 230 km with a normal load. This project aims to demonstrate that the use of electric vehicles in logistics operations is viable and effective in providing a sustainable distribution service to our customers.

‘For FM Logistic, the decarbonisation of transport is a strategic priority,’ says Alfonso López, Transport Director of FM Logistic Ibérica. Two years ago, the company inaugurated its hydrogen plant in Illescas, consolidating its commitment to the use of clean energies. Now, with the launch of this new project, FM Logistic reaffirms its commitment to reducing the carbon footprint of its transport operations.

The aim of the tests is to evaluate the efficiency of the electric truck on real routes and, if the results are satisfactory, to extend this service to all other customers. This step aligns with FM Logistic’s global strategy to foster an omni-channel and sustainable supply chain, leading the shift towards a carbon neutral logistics future.
