What is a Financial Controller? What does a Financial Controller do? The Financial Controller is responsible for collecting, monitoring and analysing data from different entities (warehouses, carriers, customers, etc.).
He/she is a key player in performance management. He/she analyses costs, indicators and results. He/she looks for solutions to optimise, improve and develop performance, and contacts the right people to implement the appropriate measures. He/she then follows up these measures and checks that they are bearing fruit. In order to perform their duties to the full, Financial Controllers must have excellent communication skills and a broad view of the business in order to propose innovative and effective solutions.
Among other things, the Financial Controller exercises permanent control over the company’s budgets. He/she is responsible for analysing the financial health of the company, setting objectives with management and then drawing up a budget to meet these objectives.
This specialist therefore draws up budget forecasts (based on information provided by the commercial departments) and puts in place control procedures.
The salary of the Financial Controller is very competitive worldwide.
